Your Path Is Unique To You - Avoiding The Comparison Trap

Comparing my path to the path of others used to be a confidence killer for me. Seeing others being successful in ways I wanted to be, felt like an impossible goal. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned in life is that we are all on a unique path of our own. There isn't a right way or a wrong way, only what's right for you. What is right for you, may not be right for someone else and vice a versa.
We can learn a lot from the paths others have taken and perhaps find ways to incorporate those elements into our own journey. It's like taking a recipe for something and tweaking it in a way that suits your own tastes. Once I embraced this mindset of my path being unique to me, I was able to embrace more of who I am and how I show up in all parts of my life. I love learning from others on how they create their own success or overcome obstacles. I consume various podcasts, books and YouTube channels that help me feel supported on my unique path. I also work with a coach, who helps me feel supported as I challenge myself further out of my comfort zone. There are various ingredients I take from all of these modalities that have helped and continue to help me move along my path, while still embracing the uniqueness of my own journey. I look at these things as stepping stones that help me a long the way. As we change, evolve and grow the path we are on can pivot into new terrain that can create uncertainty and self-doubt. Sometimes we can feel stuck on a path that feels like it is no longer working for us. One of the things that I love about being a coach, is providing my clients the tools, teachings and insights that can help them feel supported and empowered to confidently move through life and embrace their own unique journey.
